The ultimate Body camera, thanks to its built in Auto Focus 27x Zoom Lens, the camera is suitable for almost any application - and because its Day/Night it can be used 24/7 with or without additional IR lighting.

The PCC427 Body Camera is designed for any premises requiring an excellent super high resolution camera offering outstanding picture quality and performance.The camera is suitable for Indoor or Outdoor (using optional housing) use.

Main Features

Introduction:

Ideal for high risk applications, the camera is built around a Sony 1/4" Super HAD High Resolution CCD image sensor which provides good recognition quality and standard identification quality images.

Resolution:

The camera is able to produce 600 TVL images. These are equivalent to DVD quality and suitable for recording at 704x576 (4CIF) or 720x576 (D1) resolutions.

Light Sensitivity:

The camera will provide bright images in any environment that has a light level above 0.5 lux.

Examples of environments that have a light level above 0.5 lux are:

Dawn and Dusk
A Residential Road with Street Lighting
A Bar or Nightclub

Lens:

The camera is fitted with a 3.9 to 105.3mm lens. This lens provides a fixed horizontal viewing angle of 1 to 60°.

The lens features Auto Iris 27x Zoom.

DSP Features:

The camera features an Xvision IXC1HQDNE DSP (Digital Signal Processing) chip which offers the following functions to increase the image sensors performance:

Automatic Electronic Iris - This feature automatically adjusts the brightness of the camera image to match the amount of available light.

Automatic White Balance - This feature automatically adjusts the colour temperature of the camera image to match the type of light available, so that white and other colours appear as natural as possible.

Automatic Gain Control - This feature automatically increases the video output level of the camera in low light conditions. This has the effect of making the picture brighter.

Day/Night -This feature works in conjunction with a special filter on the image sensor, the filter on the image sensor allows the camera to see light emitted from IR LEDs as white light, allowing the camera to see in low light and complete darkness without actually visibly (to human eyes) lighting up the area. The Day/Night function then converts this image to B/W so it can be seen clearly and also balances out the picture so that the picture is not too bright.

Back Light Compensation - This feature makes objects in front of a bright scene (such as a window on a bright sunny day) clearer to see by increasing their brightness and making the background darker.

Low Smear - This feature helps to balance out the camera image when some areas of it may be looking at very bright or reflective objects.

Edge Enhancement - This feature sharpens the edges of objects and people in the camera image making the picture sharper and the resolution higher.
